Perhaps we could have used a little Mr. West – considering the 2010 Grammy’s was one of the longest award shows I have ever laid my eyes upon. Thankfully, gorgeous women like Beyoncé and Rihanna were all over the place - abeit in some very strange dresses.

Female artists dominated the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards. Beyoncé and took home six trophies, a record for a female artist in a single year. Knowles was honored with “Song of the Year” and “Best R&B Song for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” as well as ”Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” for “Halo.”

Taylor Swift took home the show’s biggest honor, however, nabbing “Album of the Year” for 2009’s best-selling LP, Fearless. At 20, Swift is now the youngest musician to win “Album of the Year.”

Lady Gaga, who opened the show with Elton John, won a pair of awards — “Best Dance Album” for The Fame and “Best Electronica/Dance Song” for “Poker Face.” Kings of Leon and Jay-Z were also notable winners with three awards each. 

Sunday night ‘s show was also packed with powerhouse performances, including Beyoncé and a SWAT team of dancers, Pink spinning down from the rafters, and Lil Wayne, Eminem, Drake and Travis Barker in a profanity-laced medley of Rebirth’s “Drop the World” and the hit “Forever.” The ceremony also included a 3-D tribute to Michael Jackson featuring Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, as well as Carrie Underwood singing along with the King of Pop’s “Earth Song.”

For her shows, Beyonce employs sexy outfits and suggestive choreography as well as tragically-awful music.

The R&B mega-star was scheduled to play at a stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Oct. 25. The promoters and Knowles both say it has nothing to do with the radicals. A new date for the concert is pending.

Malaysia is an actual country in Southern Asia. Their main exports are rubber and palm oil.

The radical group hoping to repel Beyonce is the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party and they’ve done this type of thing before. In 2007, they forced Beyonce to jettison her concert in Malaysia. She instead performed in neighboring Indonesia which is also an actual country in Southeast Asia.

It’s odd that the P.M.I.P would target Beyonce. After all the group’s main allies in America are entertainers. Actors and musical artists usually rush to the defense of American-hating radicals.

Since Beyonce is one of America’s top entertainers you’d think the P.M.I.P. would welcome her. However, their hatred of the West is so intense they even eschew the people who are actually on their side.

We understand that there are more than a few entertainers that are “western sexy performers” or as we like to call them “sluts.” *cough* Britney*cough* *cough* Madonna*cough* *cough* Susan Boyle *cough* But Beyonce isn’t one of them. She’s always carried herself with class and dignity.

Does she dress provocatively? Of course, but she’s one of the most beautiful women in the world and has earned the privilege to show off her knees and her shoulders every once in awhile.

In Malaysia, it’s law that female performers must be covered from their shoulders to their knees and they are barred from showing cleavage (what’s the point then?).

When Avril Lavige and Gwen Stefani performed in Malaysia they wore outfits that showed little skin. That’s more than preferable for Lavigne but what a shame for Stefani, a dirty rotten shame.

P.M.I.P. does have a point. There are westerners that dress too provocatively (see any mall in the U.S.A.) but at least in America we have the right to “slut it up.” Malaysians have no such freedom.

Now that I stole the spotlight from Donald Trump, let’s see what other well-known public figures are saying about West’s immature behavior:

Donald Trump said West’s behavior was “disgusting” and said “we should boycott all things Kayne so this doesn’t happen again.” He also said, “He couldn’t care less about Beyonce. It was grandstanding to get attention.”

Good point Mr. Trump. If MTV has a “Best Co-Ed Video” next year, West will probably attack Beyonce for having no talent and not deserving the award.

I was actually nominated in the same category that Taylor won and I was excited for her … so why can’t you be?? I’m not even mad at you for being an asshole … I just pity you because you’re a sad human being.

On a side note, Beyonce has always been a class act and proved again tonight that she still is. Go TEXAS!!
