The speech is exactly why you don’t give very excited and nervous girls a microphone directly after they have won something they’ve dreamed so long of winning.

Just take a look at the film. There are numerous, and when I mean numerous, I mean numerous accounts of women going nuts and saying extremely bizarre things after winning a big award.

And then there’s Carrie Underwood.

Her casual sexual reference to Matthew McConaughey’s boots was the line of the night. And you need lines like that because award shows are usually very dull and boring.

For those of you who did not catch it, Underwood stated she would love to see McConaughey’s boots briefly after the actor told a story about how the actor convinced a group of girls to tag along strictly off the fictional story that he had a pair of George Strait signed boots in the trunk. For those of you who still do not understand, the fictional boots got Matt laid that night!

Needless to say, the very attractive and talented country singer was ashamed and embarrassed by the spur of the moment remark.

“I’m so embarrassed, I totally embarrassed myself. I just blanked,” Underwood told a publication backstage.

“You want to say something eloquent in a moment like that and I embarrassed myself. I’m sorry Matthew, I’m sorry to my family. I’m totally embarrassed.”

It’s okay we forgive you, but only because you’re hot!
