Ashlee Simpson Fired From Melrose Place: Cast Hated Her, She Couldn’t Act

According to an inside source, Ashlee Simpson was fired from the television show Melrose Place because the cast hated her and she couldn’t act. In other words, she got the boot from the CW reboot for being a talentless jerk-face.

“Ashlee was kicked off ‘Melrose Place’ because she was a total diva on set, late all the time, and deeply disliked by fellow cast members. It created a lot of discord among the cast,” claims an insider.

The above gossipmonger also said Ashlee “could barely act.”

Another anonymous source, from an entirely different article, said “She’s the worst actress, but nobody will tell her.”

Us Weekly, America’s magazine of record, wrote that “Melrose Place” producers fired Ashlee because they “thought she couldn’t act.”

“They hired her because they needed a good name to help create buzz,” a source explained (very slowly of course) to Us Weekly, “But she was embarrassingly bad.”

And then there’s everyone at home who says, “Ashlee Simpson is a no-talent sleaze bag.”

Her departure was expedited by the producers wishing to bring back Heather Locklear. The poorly rated show couldn’t afford Locklear’s salary demands unless they unloaded a cast member. Ergo, the charmless and feckless Simpson was canned. The show now hopes Locklear can improve its fledgling ratings (all the attention they’re getting from firing Ashlee probably won’t hurt either).

The network has kept pretty quiet on the matter only saying Ashlee’s storyline was finished and her last appearance will air in January.

Ashlee’s sister, Jessica Simpson, has not kept quiet. She posted the following on her twitter page:

“CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad scripts to work with,but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press.”

What’s amazing is all the negative comments surfacing about Ashlee’s poor acting.

It’s rare to hear such criticism from industry insiders. Sure, you’ll hear about actors being difficult to work with but you seldom hear about them being mind-numbingly awful.

Hollywood types generally refrain from ridiculing one another because they never know who they might work with next. Obviously, Ashlee is so bereft of talent that won’t be a problem.

It’s nice to know that even in this day and age of celebrity-for-no reason you still need at least a modicum of talent to be on a network television show, even for a show on the CW.
