Celebrity Dating Advice…Oh Great!

FoxNews.com had an interesting article on their web page  yesterday. Apparently there are enough celebrities on the list that felt it was necessary to lecture everyday people like you and me on dating advice.

That’s just terrific. If “going green” wasn’t enough, now George Clooney is going to have to get in on this debate.

And what’s better than taking advice from a person who constantly breaks the rules he or she tells you to do?

Nothing.

Sadly, Mel Gibson did not sit in on the debate.

“My mom always taught us to respect a women and stuff, but she would always send us out when we were kids and say ‘remember as much as she’s a catch, remember you’re the catch.’ She always told us that we were real young. That was pretty good, pretty good dating advice.”

I couldn’t agree more Matt. Touching and brilliant! But isn’t this coming from the same guy who had trouble keeping a girl for ten days?

“My mom gave me a good piece of advice. She said never marry a man thinking you can change him, and I think that starts from your first date when you’re in the seventh grade on. Women are fixers so we have to just not fix. Don’t fix.”

Very true. And that would explain why you married Ben Affleck. Have you seen “State of Play?”

“My father did say recently, especially when you love your kids, just remember the most important person in your life is your spouse, because your kids, eventually, they’re going to get up and leave, and you’re going to be there with your spouse the rest of your life. We spend all of our energy with our children, so just remember that other part.”

Easier said then done when you are married to Catherine Zeta-Jones. I kid.
