Megan Fox Probably Won’t Be Watching The Transformers

megan fox2 Megan Fox Probably Won’t Be Watching The TransformersI know what you’re saying after reading that headline, “I probably won’t be watching the new Transformers movie either.”

Yes, the movies are loud, dumb and due to the Autobots and the Decepticons being so overwhelmingly complicated, painful to watch, but a critique of Michael Bay’s tour de force is for another blog.

No, this entry is about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star Megan Fox, one of hottest women in the world.

The starlet recently admitted that she can barely watch herself on the screen due to “anxiety.”

“I never (look at myself), even in still photographs. I don’t look at anything,” Fox revealed. “I panic if there is a monitor in the room I immediately go into like an anxiety attack. I’m insecure, I think most actors are pretty insecure.”

I don’t buy this for a minute. You mean to tell me that Fox became an actress and a model despite the fact that every time she sees an image of herself she has an anxiety attack?

That’s like becoming a doctor when you faint at the sign of blood; or becoming an oceanographer when you can’t swim; or becoming a pop star if you’re Katy Perry.

She was trying to position herself as down-to-Earth and “real.” She was trying to come across more like Paris, Texas than like Paris Hilton. It didn’t work.

Probably what happened was someone at the studio did some research and discovered Fox was testing poorly with women 18-35. So to improve her marketability, Fox tried to relate to these women by feigning insecurity about her appearance.

Ultimately though, her so-called “insecurity” is disingenuous, insincere and intellectually dishonest.

Besides that, there are people in the world who would kill to have one-tenth of her beauty. There are clinically ugly people (many of whom have woken up next to ReynsGems) that have real issues with their hideousness that cause real anxiety.

Fox—who is synonymous with terms like “hot,” “sexy,” “gorgeous” and “mom, go away I’ll be out of the bathroom soon”—insults ugh-o’s everywhere when she claims she can barely look at herself on screen.

“Really I’m insane and I don’t know how to control my mouth, but I’m working on it,” Fox recently said at a film festival.

Exactly Fox, your ridiculous statements are perpetuating the myth that women who look as hot as you do should be seen and not heard.
