Roman Polanski is out on bail like Tupac.
After a “long?” wait in a jail cell since avoiding police for thirty years, Polanski finally received justice from the Swiss last week.
For the price of a cool 4.5 million, Polanski is back and only regulated to a very mild house arrest. According to the stipulations addressed in the bail agreement, Polanski must remain in his “modest” Alpine chalet but is allowed to make unlimited phone calls and full access to e-mail and the Internet, thereby giving Polanski all the opportunities in the world to look up child porn. And although he cannot leave his house, he may still invite friends over and throw parties at the tony chalet in the ski resort of Gstaad.
“He will have no prison regime,” Justice Ministry spokesman Falco Galli told AFP. “He is completely free to determine his daily schedule. It’s also up to him to get in food and other supplies.”
Police in Gstaad said they might block traffic and restrict access into Polanski’s neighborhood if reporters proved disruptive.
No word yet if congenial visits from 13 year old girls will also be allowed.
