The Trump Rule: You’re Fired “Ugly Chick”

Carrie Prejean is all over the news recently, ranging from a defense statement about not having sex on a video and a bunch of other B.S. that this guy could not give two cents about. Then, comments, surfaced about Prejean attacking Donald Trump for only wanting the “pretty” girls to advance in the beauty pageant.

For once in her life Carrie Prejean may be right about something (aside from the gay marriage comment) and this would certainly be “big news” if in fact, it was not something you and I did not already know.

Some of the news outlets are having a field day over an audio tape recorded during the pre-show screening portion of the 2009 pageant, in which Trump guarantees a certain number of “beautiful” women will advance in the contest. Trump explains that when he bought the Miss USA pageant, “the most beautiful people were never chosen. And I went nuts.”

Trump continues to explain on the recording that he’s now on a personal vendetta to implement “The Trump Rule.” A rule that guarantees his staff of professionals will select “almost half” of the beautiful women to at least make it to the first round of the contest. 

For some reason a lot of Trump’s comments come as a surprise to people. Very, very dumb people…but people nonetheless.

I mean, are we not talking about a beauty pageant???

I was always considered a “confused little boy” growing up, but I certainly know that the women in these contests are not judged based on merits. Do you honestly think the winner is the smartest woman on the planet or one who can successfully answer, “What will it take to bring peace to this world?”

If every beauty pageant did not include a bikini contest and enough makeup and perfume to legally classify as chemical warfare – then, yes, I might say the “judges” actually care about something more than looks.

Are there even “ugly girls” in a beauty pageant? Skinny with serious eating disorders, yes – but “ugly”?

So in short, does the “uncovered” audio tape change my perception of Donald Trump? No. He’s still the same old shady and ruthless man like any other Fortune 500 executive in this country.
