gosselin school Gosselin Kids Go Back To School, And We Care Why?Let’s see… there’s the insanely confusing ObamaCare, the passing of Ted “Chappaquiddick” Kennedy, an out-of-control federal deficit, and Michael Vick’s return to the gird iron.

So what should the news media write about today?

How about the Gosselin kids’ first day of school!

Yes, the Gosselin kids returned to school today. Everyone stop what you’re doing so you can give these insipid leeches your full attention.

“They’re all jazzed up about riding on the bus,” Jon Gosselin told People.com. “I’m happy too, because now I don’t have to drive them to school.”

That’s his way of saying he now has more time to cavort with tramps, harlots and tarts.

We found this “story” on People.com. It was 300 words long. Self-centered parents whose entire identity is wrapped up in their children can’t even write 300 words about their brats going back to school.

Here’s an excerpt:

At the bus pickup point in a local parking lot, Jon and Kate arrived in separate cars around 7 a.m. Twins Cara and Mady, 9, rode with their mom, then ran to hug their dad before boarding. Kate walked onto the bus with them, stayed a couple minutes, then got off…”

The level of detail in the above passage means a reporter was there! People.com actually sent someone to cover the first day of school for reality-star-offspring.

The “publication” ran a picture (posted above) of the event with the caption “The Gosselins at the school-bus stop.” Does anyone else feel like they need a Silkwood bath?

If you or I had that level of detail and a photograph of parents dropping their kids off at the bus stop we’d be arrested for stalking.

The article goes on to quote Jon Gosselin who reveals extremely personal minutiae about his children’s school status and then parses the difference between junior kindergarten and kindergarten.

So let’s recap, there’s an experienced, venerated and well educated editor at a major publication. This professional, a pillar of his/her industry, actually has the idea to cover the Gosselin kids going to school, assigned this idea to one of his/her underlings and then publishes it.

The person who made the decision to cover the Gosselin kids’ first day of school should be ashamed, embarrassed and humiliated. They are a disgrace to not only journalism but to humanity.

It’s understandable in this era of reality stars and pseudo-celebrities that the media slobbers over a slew of useless people. But leave the kids alone. Let them at least try to have a normal childhood before you ruin their lives.

A story like this should have never been published. It’s disgusting.
