Pruitt Taylor Vince, a former Emmy winner, literally received the boot on his very own movie. Well, “very own” movie in theory.
Directors are notorious for clashing with money hungry producers, but most resolve their differences before things get ugly.
Not the case with Vince and producer David Newton Cole (how come everyone who works in film goes by three names?). Vince, the director and star of a new film called “Cameraman” snapped over artistic visions with Cole. The argument became so heated Cole fired Vince right on the set and the police were contacted to kindly escort the director.
Cole told TMZ.com that, “Neither of us would compromise his artistic vision, and I am the producer so that is that. That’s why they call it show business and not show art.”
So that’s why you explain all the crap Hollywood is pounding out these days? Has anyone seen “2012″yet?
Forgive me while I puke.
I’m told the producers immediately brought in the director on IR and the film is finished.
No word yet if Vince (who once played a serial killer on TV) plans to retaliate.
