White People Hate the United Colors of Benetton.

Much like pool tables, with their multi-colored reminders of multi-colored people, the United Colors of Benetton offer a constant, and high priced, reminder that whitey isn’t alone in the world.  When white people spend large amounts of money, they like to be assured that big spending is a sign of their natural dominance.  And yet, when United Colors demands hard earned American cash for a sweater made out of South American alpaca hair with all the colors of the rainbow and a label that says “No sweat shop labor,” white people get nervous.  White people hate to be made nervous by consumer products
