Lawyer Complains Hasan Will Not Get Fair Trial
On November 5th, Nidal Malik Hasan walked into a processing center and opened fire on soldiers who would have never expected their fate to end inside the largest military base in the United States.
Now the only people beside radical Muslims who appear to give a damn about Hasan are the people who rank right up there with religious extremists – lawyers.
A lawyer defending Hasan after the deadly shooting spree at Fort Hood pleaded investigators not to question his client ”too early” and went as far as expressing doubt over whether or not the gunman could receive a fair trial.
A fair trial????
To quote the phrase of comedian Amy Poehler….Really?
The lawyer representing Hasan apparently believes that Hasanis worthy of a fair trial. This man actually thinks, despite all the evidence and lethal gunshot wounds that placed him in the hospital for the past week is actually innocent…or let me guess ‘mentally unstable’ and therefore not guilty?
Hasan who is now in stable condition and “able to talk,” is a sick human being that does not deserve to live but live long enough to suffer for the horrific act he mastermind.
While the alarming death tolls of September 11th and the bombings in Oklahoma City highly surpass the death toll at Fort Hood, Hasan’s act is as severe and just as serious.
Hasan was a member of the U.S. military, a professional psychiatrist, who was trained to help other soldiers in need. Instead, it turns out, Hasan was the one who desperately needed the help.
Yes, I’ve heard reports Hasan was harassed for his heritage and yes, I know he didn’t want to go to the Middle East. However, despite how difficult it is to leave the military before they deem it necessary, sometimes you need to “man up” and take responsiblity for a voluntary choice you once made.
Hasan commited treason, back stabbing his fellow men and women in uniform with a cowardly act that did everything but take his own life - like he originally planned. Now the media is sure to attack our men and women in uniform, questioning the stability of the U.S. military while Muslim extremists like a former American living in Yemen praise Hasan as a hero on his own personal web site.
Anwar al Awlaki, a spiritual leader (that’s just great) at two mosques where three 9/11 hijackers worshipped, added that American Muslims who condemned the Fort Hood attack are hypocrites and have committed treason against their religion. Awlaki concludes that the only way a Muslim can justify serving in the U.S. military is if he intends to “follow in the footsteps of men like Nidal.”
Lovely. I could be wrong, but I do believe the U.S. “war on terrorism” is a war against Muslim extremists, not the everyday Muslims like Awlaki apparently thinks we’re targeting.
What’s even more heart-breaking about this story is the fact that the U.S. government was already on to Hasan, especially after flags were raised about Hasan’s family attending the Dar al HijrahIslamic Center in Falls Church, Virginia. What’s the big deal? That church is the very same place Awlaki preached at in 2001 and is one of the largest mosques on the East Coast.
One can only wonder which individual they are grooming of the thousands who attend each week, to become the next “hero” as a suicide bomber?
Unfortunately, the tragedy at Fort Hood has raised more questions then answered, and American Muslims already enlisted in the military are sure to face further segregation, while Muslims looking to enlist in the future may come so with a red flag.
It’s a sick and twisted world we sometimes live in.

I think when the dust settles and all the facts come out we will learn that Hasan went on a rampage in the name of his religion and that the PC cops prevented authorities from taking action against him sooner.
People’s inability to recognize what we are fighting is almost as insidious as the extremists themselves.
Thanks for the good write up.
