OlbermannJonesBeck Keith Olbermann Prepares to Battle Glenn BeckVan Jones’ organization Color of Change led an advertiser boycott against Fox News’ Glenn Beck.

Then Glenn Beck Goggled Van Jones and discovered he’s a radical, Marxist communist who’s never had a real job in his life.

Then Van Jones, the “green jobs czar” (whatever that is) in the Obama administration, resigned over Labor Day weekend because of the fervor caused by his plethora of hate filled speeches that are littering the internet, calling Republicans “a$$holes” and signing a “9/11 Truth Statement” (he’s a truther).

Now, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann is getting in on the act. On The Daily Kos website Olbermann asked his “viewer” to collect “dirt” on Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere and Roger Ailes.”

Burguiere produces Beck’s radio show and Ailes is the head of Fox News.

Beck made a similar request on his twitter fed to his millions of fans to learn all they can about Cass Sunstein, Mark Lloyd and Carol Browner. They are President Barack Obama’s nominees to fill the positions of the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, the Associate General Counsel and Chief Diversity Officer of the FCC, and the Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change, respectively.

In interest of full disclosure, I can’t stand Olbermann. I couldn’t stand him when he was on ESPN and I certainly can’t stand him now that he’s on MSNBC.

Maybe you feel the same way. Maybe you feel that way about Beck. It doesn’t matter. Olbermann and Beck, regardless of your opinions about them, are basically entertainers.

However, the people Beck went after were either members of the President’s administration or potential members. They are paid with tax dollars and they represent America/Americans. They should be exhaustively vetted.

As for Olbermann and Beck, their pasts are fairly inconsequential when compared to what they say and do on a daily basis. No one cares much about the past of actors and actresses on sitcoms and procedural cops dramas. Why should we care more about Olbermann and Beck’s history?

In Olbermann’s post he says “this has becomes necessary… in order to prove various clichés about goose and gander.” Olbermann sure has a way with words. K.O. continues by saying he’ll have a “dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck.”

Tips? Is Beck on suddenly on Crime Stoppers? He’s not a fugitive. Contacts? Does Olbermann want a list of phone numbers he can stick to his fridge in case he needs to get a hold of Beck?

If Olbermann thinks he’ll get the same “dirt” on Beck as Beck’s legion of follower found on Van Jones he’ll be sorry. Beck has far more “researchers” than Olbermann ever will. Fox News draws more than double the viewers MSNBC does. Check out the ratings.

By the way, Beck didn’t find any “dirt” on Van Jones. All Beck found was Van Jones’ speeches. Ultimately, it was Van Jones’ own words that did him in.

  • Olbermann is an idiot. He’s a smarmy, pompous, twerp. Both him and Van Jones should be put on a boat and shipped off to communist Russia. I know communist Russia doesn’t exist anymore but let’s recreate it so we have a place to send these two losers.

I have tried to watch Keith O for an entire program or even a segment of his, but I cannot stomach him. He and Rachel have made it their life’s work it seems to just pick apart and slam other networks and hosts that have much higher ratings and credibility than they have. They are in Obama’s corner and always have been. They only find negative with republicans, simply because conservative Republicans don’t agree with the current President’s agendas and feel he’s a Socialist. MSNBC could actually be OBAMA STATE RUN network. It’s reporters, hosts and these two rejects always hide anything that would place Obama, their candidate of choice, in a negative light and they can the republicans every chance they have. Calling these town hall meetings that went on fake or organized by Pharma was a total crock. It was the Pro govt. healthcare side that brought in people with professionally made signs and what to say was scripted for them. If you look up A**Hole in the dictionary.. Keith’s picture is there.
