TWPH: George Bush

White people hate George Bush. There are 17 people left in America that think George Bush is a good guy, much less a good president. And all those 17 people are white, it’s true. All of the are also billionaires, too. But those people, along with all the other white people, still hate the guy. For starters, he looks like a monkey, and white people hate zoo animals. But more importantly, for anyone who was watching after Hurricane Katrina, it became immediately clear that George Bush was someone who deserved to be hated. His slow reaction to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina affected many, many white people, and we can never forgive him for that. But it also affected a great mass of not-white people. Ordinarily, most white people wouldn’t have the time to be bothered by that, but in this case, it riled up those not-white people. Kanye West sent out a call for action: “George Bush doesn’t care about black people!” This scared white people. Why, if the not-white people get too angry, everything the white man worked for (or forced someone else to work for before he took it) could be lost. George Bush has caused people of all colors to be more aware and more angry—about gas prices, Iraq, polar bears, and other minutiae. And for that, along with so many other things, white people hate George Bush.
