The media couldn’t get enough of Tiger Woods over the weekend. ‘Maybe he was drunk behind the wheel?’ ‘What about that mistress?’ ‘Have you heard he turned down a meeting with the cops AGAIN?’
Even Fox News was getting in on the action.
Tiger Woods crashed his SUV into a fire hydrant and tree just down the street from his home early Friday morning, leaving quite a mystery behind the entire situation.
At first, the media reported Woods was in critical condition after the crash. Then, the media questioned whether or not Tiger was under the influence at the time of the crash. Both of those early reports turned back negative, and we were all left to assume that Tiger was just not paying attention.
That is, of course, until Florida Highway Patrol became suspicious of Elin Nordegren’s account. Originally, Tiger’s wife said the accident was an innocent mistake and that she used a golf club to free her husband from the wreckage - but her initial story changed after speaking with Highway Patrol.
Police believe Woods and his wife were involved in a domestic dispute around 2 a.m., Friday. Woods’ told a friend that his wife went ballistic over reports that he cheated on her. As Woods proceeded to drive away from the home, Nordegren reportedly attacked the SUV with a golf club and distracted him enough to cause the accident.
Rachel Uchitel, the alleged mistress in the whole story, calls the rumors that she slept with Woods ”bulls**t.”
Police are now persistent about meeting with Woods and examing the cuts on his face. If evidence proves the cuts were not caused from the car accident, Nordegren could be arrested for domestic abuse.
For people who are familiar with sports, and Tiger Woods in general, all this information is hard to digest. Tiger Woods seems rather level-headed and mature for all his fame and status. But was Tiger Woods really cheating on his wife, and was that the result of the possible domestic dispute?
It does seem strange, after all, that a completely conscience Woods would crash his vehicle seconds after pulling away from the home.
Could this story completely damage or at least put one blemish to Woods amazing career?
Are we, as the American public, always willing and able to jump on a sensation story like this one?
One fact is certain. This is the only story we’ll hear about for the next week or so. It’s also further evidence that Tiger Woods’ driving, not putting, is his only vice.

I’ve been beating off to Elin Nordegren for years. Someone else can write something funny about that…I have to go take care of something.
