The Olympics.

White people hate the Olympics. A running theme of TWPH is that white people are afraid of color—people of color, colored pool balls, the United Colors of Benetton, etc. And what, pray tell, is more colorful than the Olympics. People from literally everywhere around the world, representing all races, creeds, and yes, colors, converge at one place and show off their strengths. White people watch in horror as Jamaicans bobsled and South Koreans gymnastize on 7 channels of their televisions. It is like a great convention of potential proof that the white man doesn’t rule supreme, and white people hate that. Thankfully, for every Jesse Owens there seems to be a Michael Phelps. For every Kristi Yamaguchi there’s a Paul Hamm, but who knows if that balance will continue, and as long as the world insists on showcasing the talents and strengths of people who aren’t white people, white people will be filled with hatred. Especially because of the ultimate insult: there isn’t even a white Olympic ring.
