Miley Cyrus was not the only one who shocked and rocked Spain as of late. Rihanna, debuting a daring half shaved head and bright red hair, performed at the Rock in Rio Madrid Festival on Saturday. Also provocative was an outfit, one that made the most of her many tattoos and left little for the imagination.

Miley Cyrus received the “happy ending” she always wanted this weekend in Madrid, Spain. The singer who has been in touch with her sexual side (to say the least) for the last few months, sported a ravish outfit and at one point was fully groped by one of her dancers.

It’s hard to say what is more humorous. The fact that Cyrus is getting groped or the facial reaction she has to it.

In case you have yet to see the video, the footage presents the then-16-year-old Miley Cyrus grinding on Adam Shankman, the 44-year-old openly gay producer of her movie, The Last Song. The dirty dance took place about seven months ago at the wrap party for the film, but the footage had not been released until last week.

Everyone has something to say, so it only makes sense that TPH should pipe in on the situation. The only problem is I don’t really care. If Miley wants to grind on someone’s gay c**k than she’s more than welcomed. Sure he’s 44, but Miley is now close to 18 and it’s pretty evident that she wants to escape her sweet, childhood innocence.

So grinding with a middle age gay dude is a nice start…

Barry O’Brien and Richard Correll claim they were contractually entitled to a piece of the “Hannah” pie, but in the bonus department Disney will refuse to budge. Some would say this is highly insulting, given that Hannah Montana is a billion dollar franchise.

Both men are suing Disney – and in Correll’s case not just for his bonuses. Correll, who also worked as a director on the show, claims he was given the boot because he complained to the Writers Guild of America.

The creators are suing for millions and fully prepared to rush headquarters with AK-47′s.

After examining some 300,000 Twitter accounts, a Harvard Business School professor reported last week that 10 percent of the service’s users account for more than 90 percent of tweets. The study dovetails with recent analysis by the media research firm Nielsen asserting that 60 percent of Twitter users do not return from one month to the next.

Which brings us to our point, Miley Cyrus isn’t the only one to say goodbye to Twitter.

Both findings suggest that, thus far, Twitter has been considerably better at signing up users than keeping them.

Naturally, many orphan tweets betray skepticism about microblogging. “I don’t get it… what’s the point of this thing?” read ben_pursell‘s first and last tweet. “Twitter deez nutz,” remarked beebles, rather caustically, before signing off for good. Yet a surprising number of one-and-done Twitterers demonstrate keen enthusiasm, leaving many to ponder what led them to change their minds.

But is the world at stake when crucial celebrities like Cyrus are even saying Twitter sucks?

Some one-time users don’t seem to understand what kind of service they’ve signed up for. I call this demographic, the John Travolta “Oh My God I just signed up for Scientology” group:

The lion’s share of these singular postings describe a discrete experience or a current mood. This is probably because an orphan tweet is also a first tweet, and first-timers typically stick to answering the question hovering above the Twitter dialog box: “What are you doing?” I call this group the “Erin Andrews once again states the obvious” sector.

Because orphan tweets are followed by a long silence, these ephemeral status reports take on a strange permanence. Is anord04 still working on that miniature pie? Was it bigger than it first seemed? Reading many of these one-offs, you can’t help but wonder whether some tragedy has come between the user and his second post. This group gets the obvious, “David Carradine Effect.”

Not all orphan tweets inspire such macabre thoughts. At their best they resemble found art, an index of first lines of poems that have yet to be written. Most of these posters get the famous recognition of being recognized long after they passed. I call it the “Tupac Twit.”

In the biggest news story of the year, if not the century, teen star Miley Cyrus is no longer on Twitter.

How will we go on? What reason is there to live? Why does God hate Twitter?

“I’m done tryin’ to please, I ain’t livin’ for tabloids, I am living for me,” the 16 year-old rapped in a “Goodbye Twitter” rap posted on YouTube.

The Hannah Montana star had over 1.1 million followers on Twitter. Meaning her account had a larger audience than MSNBC.

Many are blaming her exodus from the social networking site on her current boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth. In one of her final tweets Cyrus wrote, “Liam doesn’t have a Twitter and he wants ME to delete mine with good reason.”

However, in her rap video Cyrus rapped that she deleted her account because she was tired of the media turning all of her tweets into news (like we’re doing right now).

In that same rap video she rapped that she had been “tweeting about pimples” and had stopped “living for moments.”

Well, there’s Cyrus’ problem. You don’t tweet about personal stuff like pimples. I have a twitter account and not once have I ever mentioned by webbed toes or the giant skin tab on my dingy.

And you certainly don’t need to delete your twitter account in order to live for the moments. If you want a life just get as far away from the internet as you can. I should know, I spend every waking moment on the interwebs and I can’t remember the last time I made out with Liam Hemsworth.

Miley’s pops, Billy Ray Cyrus, has encouraged her to return to Twitter. He tweeted, “You are a light in a world of darkness. We r countin on u.” (make loud retching noise).

BRC should be less concerned about his daughter’s Twitter account and more concerned that she’s under the thumb of some actor boy. This Liam kid sounds a little controlling.

Mark our words though, Miley will be back on Twitter. Of course it won’t be her tweeting it will be some production assistant at Disney headquarters.

There’s no way the mouse ears will let the marketing power of Miley’s twitter account go to waste.

But instead of tweets about Miley’s cold sores and menstrual cramps the blurbs will focus on where to get concert tickets, updates on her latest albums, and news about her television show. After all, that’s really what Twitter is for in the first place.

Kayne West proved yet again what a douche he is Sunday night at the 2009 MTV VMA Awards.

Moments after Taylor Swift arrived on stage to accept the award for “Best Female Video,” West stormed the stage, stole the mic from Swift mid-acceptance speech, and made what I assume he thinks was a “political statement.”

West quickly stated he didn’t want to steal the spotlight or ruin Swift’s moment, but that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” was “one of the best videos of all time.”

Kayne West, I’m beginning to think, truly is about as intelligent as a gay fish. West later apologized on his blog, but that doesn’t hide the fact he wanted to pull the race card on the selection for “Best Female Video.”

Let me guess, we just elected a half-black president yet the judges at MTV are racist for their “Best Female Video” selection?

What’s even more tragic about this situation is West actually feels a need to interrupt the MTV Music Video awards every single year. He treats the VMA’s like the Grammy’s which is sad because you can’t even find a music video on MTV before 1 in the morning.

Just because it’s called “Music Television,” does not mean it’s actually the best judge as to what is good music and what deserves an award. Keep in mind that the MTV Movie Awards (its parent award show) has nominated “Transformers” (2008), “Pirate’s of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” (2007), and “Titanic” (1998) as past “Best Movie” winners.

Instead, West actually felt the need to interrupt this pathetic award show and steal the spotlight from a 19 year old teenager who still actually watches this channel.

It’s like Christian Bale rushing the stage at “The Teen Choice Awards” and claiming Miley Cyrus was a bad selection for “Actress of the Year.”

Grow up Kayne West – and while you’re at it, stop being the world’s biggest hypocrite.

Remember a year ago when West bashed the Grammy’s for playing “the please wrap up your speech now” music while he was trying to pay a tribute to his late mother?

How do you think he would have liked it? Imagine someone rushing the stage, stealing the mic, and saying that ‘Lil Wayne deserves the award more?

Rappers with any talent are a dying art. The ones that represent the genre continually prove that their intelligence level equals the complexity and depth of their music.

Movie Theater Popcorn

Nothing is better than forking over $6 for something that is composed of a hundred popcorn kernels and lots of air. Did you know that microwave popcorn costs less than 10 cents an ounce but at the theater you may pay more than a $1 an ounce?

“Well the butter makes the difference, right?”

Movie theaters even provide separate “butter portals” now which you and I know is nothing like the old popcorn butter where it actually reached the bottom pieces in the bag.

Ticketmaster Fees

Pearl Jam was right, Ticketmaster blows. The tickets to the next Miley Cyrus concert may sound reasonable at $30 until you add on the fact that you’ll pay another additional $15 on taxes and “convenience charges.”

Event Parking

Nothing is sweeter than paying someone else to park your car on their old swab of concrete. This is especially enjoyable after you just forked over $200 for tickets, another $50 for Ticketmaster “convenience fees,” $30 in three future beers during the event – all so Latrell Sprewell can put food on his family’s table.

Printer Cartridges

Is anything more ridiculous than the price of printer cartridges? You have to take out a small loan to refill one of these puppies which then makes you very conscience of every single piece of paper you waste because “the font just wasn’t right.”

Even further proof printers suck? Refill cartridges can end up costing more than 500% of the cost of the printer itself over the life of the machine, according to a 2008 study by the American Consumer Institute.

Drinks at Restaurants

Us people love our booze, which is why restaurant owners felt it was appropriate to charge $3 for a beer (and that’s during “Happy Hour”) and $6 for a glass of “seasonal” wine.  Add on 20% for the waiter and you can dedicate your entire week’s paycheck all to one night on the town.

Bottled Water

“Refreshing yuppies and rich white people for years,” should be the slogan for bottled water. Who was the genius who decided to pre-package tap water in a bottle and sell it to people for like $4 a shot? Who would have ever thought that would work?

White people of course.

Movie Ticket Prices

Movie theaters are back with their insane prices for movie tickets. I recently paid $15 to see a matinee! For that price, I better feel like I got shot when the main character got shot and feel like I’m making love to Megan Fox while she’s getting love made to her.

Oil Change

Americans are lazy which makes perfect sense why we would opt to take 30 minutes out of our time and to change the oil ourselves. Instead we bring it to a “mechanic” who specializes in these kinds of things and rips you off for $45.

ATM Fees

I just love paying the bank back after I take out my own money. Nothing beats the rush of taking out a fresh $20 bill and receiving a “one-time” charge of $4 later on for using the wrong ATM.

No wonder why people print their own money!

Hot Dogs @ Baseball Games

For some reason, some dude decided that it was mandatory (not an option) to eat a big old hot dog at a ball game. The only problem? The hot dogs are no longer thatbig and they cost $10 a piece! $10 for something that was a combination of pig fat and leftover terd?

“Don’t worry they mask the taste with plenty of mustard and relish.”

If bottled water is a joke, than hot dogs at baseball games are the punchline.
